Policy and Procedure

At Unconventional Cleaning, we believe in transparency, professionalism, and building lasting trust with our clients. Please review our policies below, designed to ensure a smooth and consistent experience for every service.

Scheduling & Cancellations

  • All appointments must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance.

  • Cancellations or rescheduling require a 24-hour notice.

  • Same-day cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the service total.

Deposits & Payments

  • One-time or first-time cleanings require a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking.

  • Remaining balances are due upon service completion, unless otherwise arranged.

  • Accepted payment methods include: credit/debit card, ACH transfer, or invoicing for approved commercial accounts.

Arrival Window

  • Our teams operate on a 60-minute arrival window to account for traffic and prior jobs.

  • Clients will be notified if there are any unexpected delays.

Supplies & Equipment

  • We provide all standard cleaning supplies and equipment.

  • For residential cleanings, clients may request the use of their personal products upon request.

  • Clients must provide paper towels, toiletries, and trash bags unless otherwise arranged.

Safety & Access

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring safe entry to the property (keys, codes, or on-site access).

  • For everyone’s safety, we do not allow cleaners to handle firearms, hazardous materials, or pets not secured in a safe area.

Quality Assurance

  • Our team performs before and after inspections where applicable.

  • Any concerns with your service must be reported within 24 hours for review and resolution.

Additional Services

  • Laundry, dishwashing, oven cleaning, refrigerator cleaning, and other add-ons are available at an additional cost.

  • Deep cleanings and move-in/move-out services must be scheduled in advance.

​​

Property Damage & Liability

  • We carry general liability insurance and workers’ compensation.

  • Any damage caused by our team must be reported within 24 hours for review and resolution.

  • We are not responsible for pre-existing damages or normal wear-and-tear.

Commercial & Contract Clients

  • Contract clients are billed monthly via invoice, with net-15 or net-30 payment terms (depending on contract).

  • Customized policies may apply based on contract agreements.

Client Satisfaction

  • Your satisfaction is our priority.

  • If we miss something, notify us within 24 hours, and we’ll make arrangements to correct it promptly, no refund will be provided. 

 

Health & Hazard Policy

  • We do not handle biohazards, mold removal, pest infestations, or anything requiring special licensing.

  • Hazardous conditions discovered during service may result in cancellation and applicable fees.​

Collections & Legal

  • Accounts unpaid past 30 days may be sent to collections.

  • Clients are responsible for all collection fees, attorney costs, and legal expenses related to recovery of unpaid balances.

Non-Solicitation of Staff

  • Clients may not directly hire or solicit Unconventional Cleaning staff during or within 3 years after the contract period.

  • A $5,000 penalty applies for violations

 

Notice & Breach Policy

  • Clients wishing to terminate their contract must provide a 30-day written notice.

  • Failure to provide this 30-day notice is considered a breach of contract.

  • In the event of a breach, the client will be charged:

    1. A $1,000 breach fee, plus

    2. The remaining balance of all months left in the contract term.

 

Payment Terms & Collections

  • Invoices are due upon receipt, unless otherwise specified in a written contract.

  • A late fee of $20 will be applied for every 5 days past due.

  • Accounts overdue by 30 days or more will be suspended until payment is received.

  • If an account remains unpaid, it will be referred to collections. The client is responsible for all collection fees, attorney costs, and legal expenses related to recovering the balance.

  • Non-payment is also considered a breach of contract, which may result in immediate termination of services and enforcement of the breach penalties (including the $1,000 fee and the balance of all months remaining in the contract).

 

Co-Host & Local Guest Services Policy

  • Unconventional Cleaning provides co-host services to support property owners in managing their short-term rentals. This includes local guest services such as check-ins, guest communication,  inventory checks, and coordinating third-party vendors.

  • For third-party requests (such as lawn care, handyman, or maintenance), clients must provide at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • Response times are subject to vendor availability and cannot be guaranteed as immediate.

  • Unconventional Cleaning will coordinate and communicate with vendors, but we are not liable for delays, rescheduling, or the quality of service provided by third parties.

  • Any costs associated with third-party services will be billed directly to the client or added to the monthly invoice, as agreed upon in the contract.

Contract Breach & Termination Policy

​

  • All clients are required to sign a one-year service agreement.

  • Clients who breach their service agreement by early termination without proper notice, or by failing to comply with contract terms, will be charged:

    1. A $1,000 breach fee, plus

    2. The remaining balance of all months left in the contract term based on cleaning/management fee.

  • This charge is in addition to any outstanding invoices, late fees, or collection costs.

  • By entering into an agreement with Unconventional Cleaning, clients acknowledge and accept these responsibilities.

  • NDA & Exclusivity Policy

  • All information regarding Unconventional Cleaning’s services, pricing, operations, and processes is confidential. Clients may not disclose or share this information with other cleaning companies, contractors, or individuals.

  • Clients are prohibited from hiring, contracting, or engaging another cleaning company or cleaner to perform similar services during the active term of their contract with Unconventional Cleaning.

  • Any violation of this policy is considered a breach of contract and will result in:

  • A $5,000 breach fee, plus the remaining balance of all months left in the contract term, plus, possible legal action for damages resulting from the breach.

  • By signing an agreement with Unconventional Cleaning, clients acknowledge and agree to this exclusivity and confidentiality requirement

Policy Updates

Unconventional Cleaning reserves the right to update or modify policies at any time without prior notice. The most current version of our policies will always be available upon request and published on our official website. By continuing to use our services, you agree to the most recent version of these policies.
